In this life human beings are exposed to various kinds of risks, and cannot be immune against these risks despite anticipation and precautions. However, what one can do is to alleviate the effects arising from those risks, and exercise all means that reduce their negative consequences. Cooperation between society members in fragmentation of risks sustained by any of them by distributing the risks to everyone is among the reasons that mitigate risk effects.
Taking precautions and actions are also called for by Islamic Sharee’ah and are in accordance with its requirements. In the hadeeth of Anas ibn Maalik, may Allah be pleased with him, a man said to the Prophet peace be upon him, O Messenger of Allah, should I tether my camel and trust in God, or let it alone and trust in God? The Prophet, peace be upon him replied: (Tether it and trust in God) Narrated by al-Tirmidhi
